Why?  My sport of choice (field hockey) had become inactive & I had nothing to do to keep in shape.  I was a keen rugby fan & I thought starting a women’s rugby team would be a fun thing to do.  I consulted Yayiro Kasasa & he encouraged me to go for it.
Team(s):  Thunderbirds, Old Albanian Saints (England), & currently Black Panthers.
Inspirational person(s) (Rugby):  Grace Lubega (he taught me the basics in rugby when I didn’t have a clue),Tana Umaga, Yayiro Kasasa & Herbert Wafula.
7’s caps for Uganda:  1
Favourite rugby moment:  Playing for OA Saints against Saracens II (England) in 2006 & dump tackling a charging 90kg centre & preventing a try.  My shoulder suffered for a bit after that but it was worth it.
Worst rugby moment:  Missing a crucial (game winning) conversion against Tunisia in Tunis CAR 7’s 2007. 
Interests (besides rugby):  Reading classic literature, playing word games (crosswords, scrabble etc), and jigsaw puzzles.
When on a date, would you prefer disco lights or candle lights:  A bit of both.
On a first date, would you wear jeans or a stylish outfit?  Jeans (they’re more ‘me’).
If you were to be marooned on a desert island forever what would you take?  Classic literature, soul (oldies) music, lots of sweet stuff (chocs, cakes, etc), G & T, Vodka & Lime or Smirnoff Black Ice, & a man…

Favourite rugby moment:  When I scored a try against Arabian Gulf from a switch & a lovely dummy during the Tunis Car 7’s this year (2007). 
Worst rugby moment:  When we lost to South Africa in the finals of 2006 Kampala CAR 7’s & drawing against Tunisia meaning we ended up second in the 2007 Tunis CAR 7’s.

Favourite rugby moment:  When I scored the winning try in sudden death against Kenya in the semifinals in the 2006 CAR 7’s tournament. 
Worst rugby moment:  When we drew against Tunisia in the 2007 Tunis CAR 7’s so we ended up second overall & when we lost to S.A in the finals of the 2007 CAR 7’s in Kampala.
Interests (besides rugby):  sightseeing, visiting, reading novels & making friends.

Why?  I do lots of research on rugby & I wanted to pass on skills.  People have also told me that I’m a better coach than player. 
Teams coached up to date:  Namilyango College (under me, they’ve won 3 school league titles in a row), assist in coaching UTL Kobs (current league champions), fitness & nutrition coach for the Lady Cranes 7’s team & current U 19 (boys) coach.
Inspirational person(s) (Rugby):  The man who taught me rugby – Godwin ‘Tonchu’ Kayangwe, the late Edward Kitaka, Michael Wandera, Herbert Wafula & Olo Brown.
Favourite rugby moment:  First cap for Uganda & also winning the CAR tourney in 2002. 
Worst rugby moment:  Being dropped by the then head coach Chester Williams from the Uganda team that played the Elgon Cup last year (2006).
Interests (besides rugby):  Cricket, lawn tennis, boxing, swimming, reading & mixing with ladies.

Why?  I was a student at Upperhill (in Nairobi) and there was a serious lack of competent coaches in the region so I took up the role of coach player.
Clubs & representative teams coached up to date:  Impis & currently G4S Pirates (clubs), Uganda U 18, Uganda U 21, Uganda 7’s (men), assistant coach Uganda XV’s & currently head coach of the Lady Cranes 7’s.

Favourite rugby moment:  Captaining Uganda XV’s in 2002 when we beat Kenya for the 1st time ever in test rugby.
