Fanzone travels to Jinja this weekend….we are coming!

Nile versus MTN Heathens

Jinja based Nile host defending champions MTN Heathens at dam waters grounds. Nile started their 2012 season in the worst possible way losing 97-00 to UTL Kobs at Kampala RC. Heathens on the other hand crushed Impis 59-03 at Kyadondo grounds. Nile did not travel to Kampala with many of their first team players and have promised to put up a better performance against Heathens on home turf. Nile is currently bottom of the table while Heathens are second on the table log. The fanzone team will be traveling to Jinja to activate this match.

Prediction: Nile will lose by 50 points

XFM Impis versus UTL Kobs

Impis host UTL Kobs at their grave yard grounds. The  Makerere University students stuttered in their first match going down 59-03 to Heathens while Kobs made fried fish of the Jinja based Nile thumping them 97-00.Impis have had problems with no coach and have now appointed Jim Park in acting capacity. He looks set to get a baptism of fire when Kobs visit this weekend.

Prediction: Impis will lose by 35 points

Rhinos versus G4S Pirates

This promises to be one of the exciting games this weekend. It is a Kampala Rugby Club derby and the last time both sides met in the league, the game went down to the wire with pirates winning the contest in injury time. Rhinos narrowly lost 10-3 away to Mongers in their season opener while Pirates won 19-7 away over Buffaloes, but were denied a bonus point victory.

Prediction: Pirates will win this one with a bonus point victory, at the death.

Toyota Buffaloes versus Sadolin Mongers

This should be another closely contested match. Buffaloes lost their opening game 19-7 to Pirates but showed allot of tenacity. Mongers on the other hand were made to work very hard oat their feared ‘House of pain’ grounds by Rhinos. They eventually won 10-3.Buffaloes will fancy their chances on home turf at Kyadondo. If the Buffaloes forward line can secure clean ball, then their swift back line may run amok!

Prediction: Buffaloes win by 8 points. This will be the first upset of the season
